Work Management is the point of contact for all members of the University Community to place requests or obtain information for any kind of service provided by the Facilities Management Operations Department and to request updates on the status of work or service request.

For issues requiring immediate attention outside of Work Management hours, call FIU Police at 305-348-2626.

University Moves:

The Process of a person or department moving from one office location to another.
This process is managed by the office of Academic Space Management (ASM) and the Coordinator of Work Management.
All university moves require the completion and submission of the Online Move Packet.
The move form is owned by the Office of Academic Space Management, they track where each department, faculty, and staffs “occupy”.

The Online Move Packet form must be completed by requester and approved by their respective department. The requester form will be routed to the Office of Academic Space Management. ASM will review and approve the form. The form is then routed to the Coordinator of Work Management who will create a work order, on behalf of the requester, if moving assistance is needed.

Pest/Animal Control Request:

Work Management handles all pest related issues and animal control services.
Contact Work Management by email at workmgmt@fiu.edu for reporting of insects (ants, roaches, bees, wasps, flies, and rodents) or animal (cats, foxes, racoons, opossums, etc.) inside a facility. In your email, include the exact location, type of insect/animal and provide your name, contact number, and email address.
To help Facilities Management mitigate any insect intrusion read our Good Housekeeping Practices to Assist with Pest Control for instructions.
Post it in a conspicuous place so all area occupants are aware and informed about the issue and can become part of the solution.
Pest Control treatment schedule is Monday through Friday 9AM – 12PM. (service hours and days may vary by campus).

Yes. During business hours, you may contact Work Management for assistance. Requests that are after hours or on the weekend will be completed the following morning or business day. Retrieved items will be delivered to FIU Police.
